Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actor from the United States. Her most well-known character was in the role of Skyler on AMC's drama Breaking Bad. She won the Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Leading Performance by a Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She performed the roles of Jean Ward and Martha Bullock, respectively, in The Practice. She was born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in 1968 Anna Gunn fell in love with acting in Preparatory School, before her family moved to Ohio during the latter part of 1970. The theatre studies she pursued took place in the theatre department at Northwestern University. A semester was spent at the British American Drama Academy. Anna had a brief stint performing in Chicago the theatre before moving to TV and film roles. In 1992, Anna was offered her first big part in the role of Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. After guest appearances as a Star in several TV Shows and movies, including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue in the 90's, she was given the role of Jean Ward as part of The Practice. Martha Bullock played two full seasons on Deadwood that was shot between 2000 and 2001. She was cast in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in the year 2008. She also starred in the Deadwood movie and Sully. Gunn is also a part of the stage in David Schwimmer's show Sex With Strangers. Gunn also appeared in the audio drama podcast series of four parts called Numbered Days, which was released in 2022. The romance between Walter White and his wife Skyler is often the backbone of the story on Breaking Bad with the strained connection between them and the eventual end of their relationship mirroring the same arc of Walter White's final days of life.
